Crestview woman flees traffic stop, is arrested on drug charge: OCSO
OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Northwest Florida woman was arrested Saturday after fleeing from a traffic stop and being found with fentanyl, according to a Facebook post from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Two Okaloosa County deputies conducted a traffic stop on a car driven by 27-year-old Destiny Mae Jackson on Saturday, according to the post.
Deputies reportedly “developed probable cause” and asked the Crestview woman to leave the car. Jackson allegedly refused and reportedly fled from the traffic stop.
After a short chase, Jackson surrendered, according to the post.
Jackson was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement, resisting an officer without violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia that tested positive for fentanyl.
