Jeannie Austin Death – The Alexandria Police Department reported that a tragic incident occurred on Sunday night when a woman attempting to cross MacArthur Drive was struck by a vehicle, resulting in her death.
The pedestrian was later identified as Jeannie Austin, a 56-year-old resident of Alexandria, as stated in a news release.
The accident took place in the 500 block of MacArthur Drive, close to Castle Drive where various fast-food restaurants and businesses are located.
Details regarding the vehicle and driver involved were not disclosed, except for the mention of toxicology tests being conducted on the driver.
