Joseph McKinney Death: Former Chick-fil-A employee, officer killed in shooting: ‘We will always cherish him’.
Joseph McKinney Death – The fallen officer, Joseph McKinney, who tragically lost his life during a shootout in Memphis, Tennessee, is being honored by the community.
Officer McKinney, who was only 26 years old, was fatally shot while on duty near Geeter K-8 School.
He had joined the Memphis Police Department in 2020 and is survived by his wife and daughter.
Before his career in law enforcement, McKinney had worked at Chick-fil-A. The restaurant where he used to work, located on Summer Avenue in Memphis, released a statement expressing their condolences.

The suspects involved in the fatal shooting have been identified as 18-year-old Jaylen Lobley and a 17-year-old. Lobley was also killed during the shootout, while two other officers sustained injuries.
