Community Action Planning Council Shooting Investigations: A significant number of police officers are currently stationed outside the Community Action Planning Council in Watertown.

Although we lack specific information, law enforcement authorities from the Watertown Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and New York State Police have convened at the intersection of Davidson and West Lynde streets.

Authorities say officials were dispatched to the scene for a report of an active shooter. Locals witnessed a Watertown police officer aiming a firearm in the direction of the CAPC headquarters located on Davidson Street.

Multiple agencies were seen racing to the same of the incident at the time of this publication, locals have been urged to avoid the area. Police were called to the reports of an active shooter at the community action planning council in Watertown New York Monday afternoon.
