37-Year-Old Summer Blackmon Fatally Struck in the Head with Dumbbell in Montgomery
On Sunday, a tragic incident unfolded in Montgomery as 37-year-old Summer Blackmon passed away after being struck in the head with a dumbbell.
Police and fire medics arrived at the scene on a general medical call at 12:05 a.m. on Community Street, as confirmed by police Capt. Raymond Carson.
Sadly, Blackmon was found deceased upon their arrival.
Initially, the circumstances of her death were unclear, but subsequent investigation revealed evidence indicating a homicide.
The charging documents filed against 41-year-old Darrick Onel Wilson allege that the blunt force trauma leading to Blackmon’s death was inflicted by a blow to the head with a dumbbell.
Wilson, facing a murder charge, was placed into custody at the Montgomery County Detention Center at 9:33 a.m. on Sunday and is currently held without bond.
Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive at this time.
