Lois Roberta Kohlhepp Obituary – The 62-year-old New Haven woman who was killed in a crash along I-469 on Monday afternoon has been identified by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred around 4:25 p.m. on northbound I-469, north of U.S. 24.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, traffic was halted in the area due to construction when a car was rear-ended by a semi, resulting in a chain reaction involving five vehicles. Tragically, one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased driver has been identified as Lois Roberta Kohlhepp of New Haven, as confirmed by the coroner on Tuesday.
Her death has been ruled an accident, making it the fifth motor vehicle fatality of the year.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
