Tyler Joseph Hedrick Death: Authorities identify motorcyclist killed in crash in midtown.
Tyler Joseph Hedrick Death – Tyler Joseph Hedrick, aged 42, was declared deceased at the scene of a collision in midtown Tucson on April 15th. Emergency responders from the Tucson Fire Department arrived at the intersection of North Oracle Road and West Jacinto Street at 11 a.m.
The Tucson Police Department has confirmed that the other driver involved is a 20-year-old female who sustained minor injuries and was transported to Banner University Medical Center.
Based on interviews and evidence, it was determined that Hedrick was struck while attempting to cross Oracle at Jacinto.
Hedrick was reported to have been wearing a helmet during the incident. The investigating officer concluded that the other driver was not under the influence of any impairing substances. Further examination of medical records will ascertain whether Hedrick was impaired at the time of the collision.
TPD has stated that Hedrick’s failure to stop at a stop sign was the primary factor contributing to the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing, and as of now, no charges or citations have been issued.
