Allen Key Sackett Death – Maricopa Police Department has identified the deceased solo pilot who tragically lost his life on Sunday in a plane crash in Maricopa as 45-year-old Allen Key Sackett from Florence.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. when Maricopa fire and medical teams promptly responded to a distress call regarding a small aircraft that had gone down east of Murphy and La Brea roads.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered Sackett’s lifeless body at the crash site. It was determined that he was utilizing a backpack-style paramotor device, which led to an uncontrolled landing resulting in the fatal accident.
Fortunately, no other individuals were harmed, and there was no significant damage to nearby structures. Sackett’s family has been informed about the tragic incident, while the exact cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.
