Veronica Butler, Jilian Kelley Obituary: Medical Examiner identifies two deceased Kansas women found in Oklahoma.
Veronica Butler, Jilian Kelley Obituary – The Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identities of the two deceased individuals discovered in Texas County, Oklahoma as the missing Kansas women Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation expressed condolences to their families and the community. Butler and Kelley disappeared on March 30 while en route to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday celebration in Kansas.
Their abandoned vehicle was later located in rural Oklahoma near the Kansas border. Four suspects were arrested on April 13 and charged with various offenses related to the disappearance of Butler and Kelley. The suspects are Tad Bert Cullum, 43; Tifany Machel Adams, 54; Cole Earl Twombly, 50; and Cora Twombly, 44.
The investigation led to the discovery of two bodies in Texas County on April 14. The suspects’ arrest warrants revealed details of a custody battle between Butler and Adams’ son, who is the father of Butler’s children.
The court documents indicated that Adams is the grandmother of Butler’s children and the mother of the children’s father, Wrangler Rickman. The investigation uncovered evidence of severe injury in and around the abandoned vehicle in rural Oklahoma.
