According to a news release from the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office, Alexander Foss, 20, of Minnesota, has been identified as the victim of a plane crash that occurred on Thursday in Indiana.

Authorities reported that Foss was a Purdue University student.

On Friday, the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding a potential plane crash that may have occurred the previous evening close to County Road 600 North and U.S. 231.

Foss was pronounced dead on the spot.

The crash is being looked into by the FAA.

Alexander leaves behind family, friends and many who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
