Liliana Guerrero Mendoza,Arriaga Bonifacio Negrete Obituary, Death; – The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner has identified the four victims who lost their lives in a tragic accident in Manteca as a couple from Livermore and two of their children.

The victims were identified as 40-year-old Liliana Guerrero Mendoza, 44-year-old Arriaga Bonifacio Negrete, 12-year-old Jorge Negrete Guerrero, and 4-month-old David Negrete Guerrero.

The family was driving through Manteca on Saturday around 10 p.m. after attending a Quinceñeara in Modesto when the driver lost control of the Toyota minivan on Highway 120, causing it to overturn and catch fire, as reported on a GoFundMe page.

The couple and five children were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Negrete, who is believed to have been driving, Mendoza, and two of their sons tragically lost their lives in the crash.

The couple’s three other children survived and were taken to the hospital. Eyewitnesses shared that a group of people stopped to assist, attempting to turn the minivan over and rescue everyone inside.

Gina Rosamond recounted to KCRA3 that around 15 to 20 individuals came together to help, pushing the car upright to try and rescue the occupants.

Joe Rosamond, an Army National Guard pilot, rushed towards the burning van, while his wife captured the scene on video. He described how he was directed to grab the baby by another person at the scene, and he quickly and gently picked up the infant.

After handing the baby to his wife, Gina, he returned to provide aid to the other victims. Gina Rosamond shared with KCRA3 that it was heartwarming to witness strangers coming together to save the children, emphasizing the unity and support displayed by the community during the tragic event.
