Cody P Cooper Obituary – The Topeka Police Department (TPD) has disclosed the identity of the fifth homicide case in the Capital City on Saturday. According to a press release, Cody P. Cooper, a 22-year-old resident of Topeka, was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday. The TPD is currently investigating this incident as the fifth homicide case in Topeka for the year 2024.
Authorities received a call about a shooting in the 3700 block of SW Park South Court at approximately 8 a.m. on April 19. Upon arrival, officers discovered an individual, later identified as Cooper, who had sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts of first responders, Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene. The TPD subsequently announced that his death is being treated as a homicide and is under investigation.
