Dylan Maslon Death – A man was fatally shot by deputies in Iredell County after a call was made to the Iredell County Emergency Communications at 7:40 a.m. on Saturday, April. The caller reported that their family member was behaving erratically, as stated by Sheriff Darren Campbell.
Upon arrival, local fire personnel encountered the suspect, Dylan Maslon, 27, who brandished a knife at them. Subsequently, they retreated and sought assistance from Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.
Upon entering the residence, Maslon opened fire at the deputies, prompting them to return fire. Despite attempts to communicate with Maslon, he continued shooting. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team, along with Mooresville Police, were called in for support. During the exchange, one deputy was injured and hospitalized.
The suspect persisted in firing at law enforcement vehicles and deputies. Ultimately, a robot was deployed to locate the suspect upstairs in the house, where he was found deceased from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Sheriff’s office.
