Max Azzarello Obituary-Death News; Victim, Max Azzarello Set Himself Ablaze Near Trump Trial Courthouse, Passes Away From Injuries

According to the authorities, the man who set himself on fire outside the courtroom in New York City where former President Donald Trump is being tried has passed away from his wounds.

The individual has been identified as Saint Augustine, Florida resident Max Azzarello, 37. Earlier in the week, he had flown into New York. The incident happened on Friday afternoon at Collect Pond Park, not far from the Lower Manhattan courthouse where Donald Trump’s hush money trial is being held, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Witnesses claimed that after entering the park, Azzarello threw flyers into the air, doused himself in flammable liquid, and then set himself on fire. At first, the NYPD confirmed that the accelerant was an alcohol-based cleaning solution, but it was initially thought that he used gasoline.

A witness related that the man, evoking memories of the Vietnam War, subtly doused himself in the material before lighting it on fire. “He got himself drenched and then pulled out a lighter,” the witness said. It brought up memories of the Vietnam War. I’ve watched those things on videos.

Another witness, Julie Berman, said the man told her to “get away, get far away” before he set himself on fire. Police officers came running to help from all sides.

One cop tried to douse the fire with his coat, while another man showed up with a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. In critical condition, Azzarello was sent right away to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Several officers suffered minor injuries during the encounter. According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joe Kenny, conspiracy theories are purported to be contained in the leaflets that Azzarello distributed. Currently, detectives are looking into the man’s actions since getting to New York.

The Substack page of Azzarello, with the headline “I have set myself on fire outside the Trump Trial,” has also been cited by the authorities as something they are investigating.

Azzarello, who referred to himself as a “investigative researcher,” outlines his reasons for carrying out this deed in a long 2,648-word article. Azzarello received a 2009 Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and public policy, according to UNC-Chapel Hill. It seems that Azzarello did not act with a specific target in mind based on the information that is now available.
