Following what investigators suspect to have been an unintentional shooting over the weekend, a male 15-year-old has passed tragically.
At little after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, law enforcement personnel were dispatched to the 900 block of Maple in Jackson in response to a report of gunfire at a house.
When the police arrived, they found a fifteen-year-old boy suffering from a single chest gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom.
First responders quickly transported the adolescent, who the authorities named as Carter Miller, to a local hospital, where he sadly passed away from his wounds.
Numerous teenagers were in the bedroom when the incident occurred, according to the authorities.
It was discovered from these people’s subsequent interviews that the occurrence was unintentional.
