Amy Garza Obituary – Amy Garza, a well-known radio host in Lubbock, tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning in San Antonio.
The 44-year-old DJ, also known as “Amy-O,” worked for 104.9 The Beat and her identity was confirmed by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Reports from San Antonio news outlet KENS5 reveal that Garza was a passenger on the motorcycle when it was struck by another vehicle.
The impact caused her to be thrown from the bike, resulting in her death at the crash site. The incident occurred on Highway 90 near General McMullin, as reported by KENS5.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle that collided with the bike fled the scene.
Councilwoman Christy Martinez-Garcia of Lubbock expressed her condolences for the loss of Amy Garza in a heartfelt Facebook post.
