Cheryl Turner Obituary – Another individual lost their life in a collision earlier this month when a stolen 18-wheeler crashed into a Texas Department of Public Safety building. On Monday, the DPS Southeast Texas Region announced on social media that Cheryl Turner, 63, from Brenham, passed away due to the incident.
The crash occurred on Friday, April 12, when Clenard Parker, 42, drove the stolen 18-wheeler into a DPS office in Brenham. One person, identified as Bobby Huff, 78, died at the scene that day. DPS reported that a total of 14 individuals were involved in the incident, with six being taken to the hospital and eight others receiving treatment and being released at the scene.
Parker was apprehended at the scene and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he is facing multiple charges. The DPS expressed their deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased in their social media post.
