It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Tom McCabe Jr.’s passing. He was involved in a tragic bike accident while riding from Torrey, UT to Escalante, UT on Saturday. He was doing what he loved the most while surrounded by friends.

Tom was a true adventurer and friend to all who knew him. His vibrant spirit and passion for life left an indelible mark on everyone he met.

We will miss him dearly. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Sad to report the passing of a fellow adventurer. Tom McCabe Jr passed away from a tragic cycling accident near Torrey, UT this weekend.

Anyone who knew Tom understood that he LOVED to adventure, play and to be silly. 🤪 I only spent a short time with him while canyoneering at Lake Powell. I am sure there are many who knew him much better than I did.

I remember all the guys took a “moon shot” on our adventure at Powell and, of course, Tom was naked, per usual. AND he didn’t give a 💩. Which made him one of the most free and honest people I have met.

He did snore like a lumberjack on the houseboat, which meant I had to punch him periodically so the rest of us could sleep. I’m sure you are up in heaven running amok, naked as can be… You will be missed my friend.
