Viacheslav Nadolinkski Obituary: North Carolina Semi Driver Dies in Second I-80 Crash on Sunday Afternoon
Viacheslav Nadolinkski Obituary – Two accidents took place on Interstate 80 near Elm Creek, with the second one resulting in the fatality of a man from North Carolina. The initial collision occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, close to mile marker 257 on I-80.
It happened when a pickup truck rear-ended a semi-truck in the construction zone. The driver of the pickup sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, while a child suffered minor injuries. As a result, I-80 had to be closed for approximately 90 minutes.
The second crash occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on the same day, near the same location. In this incident, a semi-truck was parked on the westbound shoulder within the two-lane construction zone.
Another semi-truck, transporting agricultural equipment, collided with the parked semi on the shoulder. This collision caused the agricultural equipment to enter the eastbound lanes and collide with an oncoming semi-truck.
Tragically, the driver of the eastbound semi-truck lost his life in the crash. He has been identified as Viacheslav Nadolinkskii, a 49-year-old resident of Dallas, North Carolina. The drivers of both westbound semis sustained minor injuries but have since been discharged from the hospital.
Troopers are currently conducting a comprehensive crash reconstruction and commercial vehicle post-crash investigation. As a result of these incidents, I-80 had to be closed for approximately five hours.
The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) received assistance from various agencies during these incidents, including the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Kearney Police Department, Nebraska Department of Transportation, and local EMS.
