27 Years Old Woman, Shakeia Allen Passes Away In Fatal Parkville Shooting
The shooting happened on Sunday afternoon in an apartment building in Parkville, and the shooter did not appear to be in a hurry to flee after the shots were fired.
We are keeping this woman’s identify private out of concern for her safety. She told us, “I saw a man walking calmly with a gun in his hand.”
The damage was done by the time the police arrived. “A woman with apparent gunshot wounds was found in the establishment’s parking lot when the officers arrived,” Baltimore County Police Det. Anthony Shelton said at the scene.
“This is where the victim was declared dead at the scene.” The police said early on in the investigation that they didn’t think the shooting was a random act. They thought the victim had been singled out for attack.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman named Shakeia Allen, has finally been identified. According to court documents, there have been several police responses to her former Bayberry Road home in recent months as a result of domestic disturbances.
After receiving a report that her ex-boyfriend had beaten her as she was trying to remove her possessions from the property, the police were summoned to the residence in late February.
He turned over a gun he had hidden in his waistband the day he was taken into custody.
A protection order hearing involving both parties was canceled last week when they did not show up in court, despite the fact that the police have not yet named a suspect in her death.
