Obituary: Former Premiership Winning Centre Terry Hill Passes Away At 52
The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are devastated to learn of the 52-year-old demise of former premiership-winning center Terry Hill. It’s known that he died in the Philippines from a heart attack.
Under Coach Bob Fulton, Hill made his Manly club debut in 1994. He went on to play 142 games in the first grade for the Sea Eagles. He played for Manly when they won the championship in 1996 and won the Grand Final, defeating St George 20-8.
When the Sea Eagles play the Parramatta Eels at 4 Pines Park on Friday night, they will honor Hill by donning black armbands.
Tony Mestrov, CEO of Manly, said, “Terry was a much loved and respected figure at not only the Sea Eagles but across rugby league, where he played for several clubs.”
“We extend our warmest sympathies to Terry’s family and friends during this trying time on behalf of the whole Sea Eagles team. “Terry will always be fondly remembered at Manly.”
