The Kosse and Waco communities are saddened by the loss of Veronica Rowe, a 54-year-old resident whose body was discovered in her red 2018 Dodge Journey at the Flying J in Waco. The news of her passing, reported by KWTX News 10, has left her loved ones and the community in shock and mourning.
Veronica Rowe was well-known in the Waco region as an Uber driver, providing transportation services to many in the area. Her disappearance on April 17 sparked concern among her family, who had last heard from her around 10 p.m. that day. Concerned for her well-being, her family created missing persons posters, hoping to gather information on her whereabouts.
Rowe’s family described her as dealing with various health issues and dependent on insulin and oxygen. Despite these challenges, she remained dedicated to her work as an Uber driver, intending to fulfill jobs in the area. However, when she failed to make contact as expected, her family reported her missing to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office on April 19.
In response to her disappearance, the Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR alert on April 22, recognizing the urgency of the situation and aiming to aid law enforcement in locating adults in imminent danger or who have involuntarily gone missing. Sadly, the alert was terminated shortly after its issuance upon the discovery of Rowe’s body.
