Curtis J. Campbell Obituary, Coroner identifies man killed after U.S. Route 150 crash

The Williamsfield community mourns the loss of Curtis J. Campbell, a 29-year-old resident, following a tragic two-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 150 at East Knox Road. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has officially identified Campbell as the victim of the devastating accident, which occurred when he was operating a UTV and collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado around 3:54 p.m.

Despite swift medical intervention and being airlifted to OSF Healthcare Saint Francis Medical Center in critical condition, Campbell’s injuries proved fatal. Harwood confirmed that Campbell was declared brain-dead at 3:23 p.m. on Thursday, marking a heartbreaking end to his valiant fight for survival. Toxicology tests conducted in accordance with Illinois State law returned negative results for Campbell, indicating that intoxication was not a factor in the collision.
