Alan Picazzo Obituary: Police identify victims of fatal shootings in downtown and North Austin.
Alan Picazzo Obituary – The victims in two separate homicides that occurred in downtown Austin on Saturday and in North Austin on Sunday have been identified by the police, according to two press releases. The authorities have not disclosed whether the gunmen involved in either shooting have been apprehended.
Shooting near Rainey Street
Alan Picazzo, 24, has been identified as the victim of Saturday’s shooting. Picazzo was discovered at the Quincy apartment complex, located at 91 Red River St., near Rainey Street in downtown Austin, after multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting were received by the police at approximately 6:30 a.m.
Picazzo was transported to a local hospital by Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The release stated that the police have determined that Picazzo had been engaged in a physical altercation with another individual prior to the gunfire.
North Austin shooting
The victim of Sunday’s shooting at Villas Del Sol apartments on 1711 Rutland Drive in North Austin has been identified as Lowen Alberto Ordonez Lobo, 39, according to a news release.
Police officers arrived at the apartment complex shortly before 8:40 p.m. and discovered Lobo with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene approximately 10 minutes later, as stated in the release.
