The tranquil town of Chesterton, Indiana, was shaken to its core by the devastating news of a fatal two-car accident that claimed the life of 26-year-old Alyssa Ramey on the morning of Monday, April 29, 2024. Alyssa, a beloved member of the community and the owner and chief executive officer of Pawsibly Pampered, tragically lost her life as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

The heart-wrenching incident unfolded at approximately 5:52 a.m. CT, sending shockwaves through the tight-knit community. According to reports from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of County Road 200 North and County Road 600 East in Starke County. Alyssa Ramey, a longtime resident of Chesterton, was traveling west on 200 North in her white Hyundai Elantra when she inadvertently crossed the intersection with 600 East, colliding with a northbound burgundy Dodge Challenger driven by 53-year-old Kimberly Wilke of Knox.

Despite the valiant efforts of emergency responders, Alyssa Ramey was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash due to the severity of her injuries.
