The community of Sheridan, Arkansas, is mourning the loss of Taylor McGarity, a devoted member of the Arkansas Army National Guard, who passed away on April 28, 2024, at the young age of 25. Known to many as Taylor Bryan McGarity, he was a resident of White Hall, Arkansas, and leaves behind a legacy of service, dedication, and love.

Taylor was born on January 26, 1999, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and from a young age, he displayed a deep commitment to serving his country with honor and bravery. As a Staff Sergeant and Team Leader for Alpha 3, Taylor played a vital role in recruiting and retaining individuals in the Army National Guard. His leadership, dedication, and exemplary conduct served as an inspiration to those around him, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and superiors alike.

However, Taylor’s most cherished roles were those of a loving husband, father, son, and friend. He was deeply devoted to his family, including his beloved wife, Kenzie McGarity, and his daughters, Acelynn McGarity and Everleigh Harrison. Taylor’s love and affection extended to his extended family, including his niece, Alexia Stroud, his mother, Janae Wilkins, his brother, Kyle McGarity, his sister, Dray Spadoni, and his grandparents, Mark and Debora Davis, among others.

Taylor’s passion for life extended beyond his military service and family responsibilities. He had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment, from fishing to video games to running and tennis. However, he was most proud of his service in the military, a commitment that defined his character and purpose.

The loss of Taylor has deeply impacted his community, leaving behind a void that will be difficult to fill. However, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire others for years to come.

According to Taylor McGarity’s obituary, visitation will be held on May 6th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at GRACE Church East End, located at 24300 Hwy 167. The Funeral Service will take place on May 7th at 10:00 AM at the church, followed by burial at 12:00 PM at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, located at 1501 W. Maryland in North Little Rock, with full Military Honors.
