The Albany Police Department (APD) has launched a manhunt for Kanard Hunt, a suspect connected to a deadly shooting that occurred near Albany State University’s East campus in April. Hunt is wanted on charges of felony murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm during certain crimes.
The shooting took place in the 200 block of Monarch Drive, leaving 20-year-old Emonyei Ward dead and two others injured. Hunt is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and jeans. The APD has released a photo of Hunt, taken from a surveillance camera near the scene of the shooting.
