Craig Lee Viar, a 32-year-old HVAC technician from Roseland, Virginia, tragically passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, leaving behind a loving family and a community that cherished him. Born on August 26, 1991, in Charlottesville, Craig’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and compassion.

Craig’s greatest joy was his role as a father and husband. He adored his wife, children, parents, siblings, and extended family, and his love and devotion to them knew no bounds. He was an avid outdoorsman who found solace and excitement in nature, and his passion for the outdoors was infectious, inspiring those around him to appreciate the beauty of the world.

Beyond his love for nature, Craig was a skilled carpenter, HVAC technician, and culinary artist. He was a true “jack-of-all-trades,” excelling in various fields and sharing his knowledge with others. His willingness to lend a helping hand and his kind and generous spirit made him a beloved member of his community.

Craig’s heart of gold and unwavering kindness endeared him to many. He approached life with an open heart, never hesitating to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand to those in need. His infectious smile and genuine warmth made him a friend to all, and his legacy of compassion will continue to inspire others for years to come.

Craig is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Raye Viar; children, Buckley, Oaklee, and Bristol Viar, Caleb and Savannah Ramsey, Canyon, Scarlett, Cole, Delilah, and Willa Terrell; brothers, Dallas Viar (Sami) and William Viar; sisters, Nicki Viar (Michael) and Crystal Viar; grandparents, Frances and Charles Bowen, Lester and Lucy Viar; mother-in-law, Donna Seamster (Alan); father-in-law, Thomas Harker; nephew, Bentley Spivey; niece, Aliyah Spivey; best friend and cousin, Matt Wood; close friend Patrick Falls; and numerous other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A service for Craig will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home, followed by dinner at Roseland Rescue Squad. His family and friends will deeply miss him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.

In conclusion, Craig Lee Viar’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who loved him, but his memory will continue to inspire others to live with kindness, compassion, and love. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
