Charles W. Lavin Obituary, Death a Kind and Cherished Individual: Leaving Behind a Legacy of Love and a Void in the Hearts of Many”
The community of Red Bank, New Jersey, is mourning the loss of Charles W. Lavin, a wonderful man who left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Charles passed away on May 3, 2024, leaving behind a void in the hearts of many.
Charles is survived by his loving family, including his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Lavin; his siblings, Mary Ruth Kelly (William), Robert Lavin, Elizabeth Jane Beirne (Daniel), Patrick Lavin (Kathie), Judith Ann Lavin, Eileen M. Barbieri (Robert), Joyce G. Adase (Michael), William J. Lavin (Kathy), Jeanne Marie Fontanarosa (Jay), and Timothy T. Lavin (Alex). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved and cherished him.
Charles was a kind and compassionate individual who always put the needs of others before his own. His warm smile and gentle spirit made him a beloved figure in the community, and his passing has left a significant void in the lives of all who knew him.
A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728) on Monday, May 13th, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, at 9:00 AM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Leo the Great (50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft, NJ 07738) on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery (53 Inman Ave., Colonia, NJ 07067) at 12:00 PM.
