Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Pacheco to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The other victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene determined that the two victims, along with two other men, exited the convenience store and got into a black SUV. All three suspects fired multiple shots at the SUV before fleeing the scene in the Charger and Mercedes.
