At 8:30 am on Thursday, Fresno County Sheriff’s dispatchers received a chilling call from an individual claiming a shooting was imminent at Fowler High School, located at 701 E. Main Street in Fowler. The threat prompted an immediate response from Fowler Police and Sheriff’s deputies, who swiftly arrived at the school to ensure the safety of students and staff.

As a precautionary measure, Fowler High School and nearby schools were placed into lockdown, with students and staff advised to shelter in place.
