VIDEO: San Antonio Shooting: 4-Year-Old Girl and Four Others Critically Injured in Targeted Shooting on Northeast Side
A devastating shooting incident occurred on Wednesday in a San Antonio neighborhood, leaving five individuals, including three children, critically injured. The tragedy unfolded in the 6700 block of Windsor Hollow Drive, where a 4-year-old girl, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries.
According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, the shooting is believed to be a targeted attack, with two suspects firing 20-25 rounds from long rifles at the residence. The intense gunfire left the front door riddled with bullet holes, resembling “Swiss cheese.” The victims, including two adults and three children (aged 4, 7, and 8), were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Sheriff Salazar expressed his outrage and concern, stating that the perpetrators likely knew there were children inside the house. He emphasized that if any of the children were to pass away, the charges would be upgraded to capital murder.
Deputies revealed that one of the wounded individuals may have been exchanging text messages with one of the gunmen leading up to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding the shooting. The two suspects remain at large, and no descriptions have been released.
The community is in shock and mourning the loss of the 4-year-old girl, and the condition of the other victims remains critical. The incident serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences of violence and the importance of supporting law enforcement in their efforts to bring perpetrators to justice.
