Obituary., Death Sydney Ellen Campbell, Beloved Resident of Somerville, MA, Passes Away on May 7, 2024, at Age 27, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Love, Laughter, and Adventure – A Devoted Family Member, Friend, and Community Spirit

Sydney Ellen Campbell, a vibrant and cherished member of the Somerville, Massachusetts community, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the tender age of 27, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Christmas Day in 1996 in Schenectady, New York, Sydney’s life was a precious gift to all who knew her.

A talented and dedicated individual, Sydney excelled in academics and athletics, graduating from Guilderland High School in 2014 as a pole vaulter and later earning honors from Northeastern University in 2019. She was an active member of the NU Rugby Football Team, the Honors Program, and worked as a Resident Assistant, showcasing her leadership and teamwork skills.

Sydney’s passion for life was evident in her love for the Patriots, Red Sox, fantasy football, board games, Jeopardy, good books, lobster rolls, and ice cream cake. Her infectious enthusiasm and zest for life drew a large circle of friends, with whom she shared countless memories and adventures.

Sydney’s professional life was marked by her dedication as an accountant and financial analyst, demonstrating her sharp intellect and analytical mind. Her love for Boston was evident in her decision to settle down in the city, where she embraced its vibrant culture and community.

Sydney is survived by her parents, David G. Campbell and Kathleen K. Campbell; sisters, Kaitlin Pearl Campbell and Erin Lucille Campbell; grandparents, John and Jeannine Kissane, David G. Campbell Sr., and Cheryl B. Stafford; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her family was her rock, and she was deeply loved and cherished by all.

In celebration of Sydney’s life, friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 16th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, located at 3500 Carman Rd, Schenectady, New York 12303. A mass will follow at 12:00 pm, and a luncheon will be served at the Fort Hunter Volunteer Fire Company across the street.

Sydney’s legacy will be remembered through her love, laughter, and adventure, inspiring those who knew her to embrace life’s joys and challenges with courage and resilience. Rest in peace, Sydney Ellen Campbell. Your memory will be treasured forever.
