Obituary, Death Roger M. Cote, 67, of Lewiston, Maine, Passed Away on April 27, Leaving Behind a Legacy of Love, Family, and Adventure; Memorial Service to be Held on May 17 at Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston
Roger M. Cote, 67, of Lewiston, Maine, passed away on April 27, 2024, in Evansville, Indiana. He was born in Lewiston to Normand and Rita (Dionne) Cote, who predeceased him. He is survived by his much-loved daughter, Teressa, and her husband, Drew, of Indiana; his sons, Quintyn, of Indiana, and Joseph and Christopher of Charleston, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Sky Rose, Koaldon, Jocelyn, Arlee, and Mila; and his sister, Rachel.
Roger was a St. Dominic’s graduate of the class of 1974. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1974 until 1993. He was a proud veteran and served his country with honor.
After being discharged from the Navy, he worked as a machinist at Silgan Industries of Evansville, Indiana, where he settled. He was a skilled craftsman and took great pride in his work.
Roger loved his motorcycle and lived to ride. He was also an avid poker enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
A memorial service will be held on May 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pinette, Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, ME 04240. A committal service will follow at St. Peters Cemetery on Deer Rd in Lewiston at 2:00 p.m.
Roger loved his family and was loved by them. His grandchildren dearly loved their “Pepere.” He was a kind and generous man who always put others before himself.
Roger will always be loved and dearly missed by all who knew him. He was an unselfish man who will be remembered for his wry sense of humor and his love of life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Roger’s memory. His family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Hospice House in Auburn, Maine, for their compassionate care and support during his final days.
Roger will be laid to rest at St. Peters Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine, surrounded by his loved ones. His legacy of love, family, and adventure will live on through the many lives he touched.
