Devyn Chanel Ransom-White, a bright and caring individual, passed away on May 6, 2024, at the young age of 25. Her family, friends, and community are devastated by her untimely death.
Devyn was a distinguished student at Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she graduated in 2017. She went on to pursue her passion for helping others by becoming a Pediatric Dental Assistant, graduating from Dental Careers Foundation in 2020.
Her love for helping others was evident in her selfless act of becoming an organ donor, which saved the lives of four individuals in need. Her family and friends are proud of the impact she had on the lives of others.
Devyn is survived by her loving family, including her mother, Chanel Miller, and stepfather, David Miller; her father, Vincent Ransom, and stepmother, Angelique Ransom; her grandparents, William and Patricia Howell, and Donna Sherrell; her sisters, Dominique Rauch and Jasmine Ransom; her brother, Jalen Turner; her aunt, Jeena Miller; her uncles, Johnnie Ransom Jr. and Michael Ransom; her nieces and nephew, Kaelyn, Kennedi, and Anthony Rauch III; and her beloved fur babies, Meechie, Moochie, and Cocoa.
The family is grateful for the exceptional care and compassion shown by the Intensive Care Unit at Sentara Leigh Hospital during Devyn’s final days. They are also thankful for the outpouring of love and support from the community.
Devyn’s passing is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment we have with our loved ones. Her family and friends will always remember her love, kindness, and dedication to helping others.
