Heather Grandfield Madewell, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of her community, tragically passed away on May 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Born on August 13, 1997, in Greenville, Texas, to Kristie and Tommy Grandfield, Heather’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, empathy, and resilience.

Growing up in Wolfe City, Heather was surrounded by the warmth and support of her family and friends. Her journey through high school was marked by her infectious spirit, her passion for helping others, and her unwavering enthusiasm. She immersed herself in various activities, from cheering on her school’s teams to competing on the volleyball and basketball courts. Heather’s love for life was evident in every aspect of her being, and her presence was a beacon of hope and joy to those around her.

Heather’s pursuit of higher education at Texas A&M University-Commerce was driven by her passion for public health. She emerged in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree, a testament to her unwavering dedication and perseverance. Heather’s academic achievements were only matched by the connections she forged along the way. Her bond with her Chi Omega sisters was a particularly special one, transcending college years and providing a support system that would stay with her throughout her life.

In 2020, Heather met the love of her life, Blake Madewell. Their connection was instantaneous, sparked by shared dreams and unwavering devotion. Their union was blessed with the arrival of River Hayes Madewell in 2021, a bundle of laughter and love that illuminated their world. A year later, their family grew once more with the birth of Rylen Blake Madewell, completing the circle of love that bound them together.

Heather is survived by her loving husband, Blake Madewell; their two sons, River and Rylen; her parents, Kristie and Tommy Grandfield; her brother, Jordan Grandfield, and his wife, Rose; her mother and father-in-law, Quint and Rebecca Madewell; her sister-in-law, Whitney Rice, and her husband, Michael; and her grandparents, Donna Turney, Jan and Ted Grandfield, Don and Virginia Coker. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and family members who will deeply miss her.

Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy Turney and AB and Nancy Madewell. A visitation will be held at Cross Trails Cowboy Church, located at 4761 FM 1563 Fairlie, Texas, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Tim Hearn, with burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.

Heather’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her unwavering kindness, her infectious laughter, and her unrelenting compassion will be deeply missed. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life, her love, and her unwavering dedication to making the world a better place. Rest in peace, dear Heather.
