Cheeks was traveling eastbound as a passenger in a 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 when it was struck by a 2008 Honda Accord exiting the Intercounty Connector. The collision occurred at approximately 12:44 a.m., and emergency services responded promptly to the scene.
Cheeks was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
