Neomia “Nickie” Forbes Obituary and Death: Cherished Resident of Bowling Green Passes Away at 90
Neomia “Nickie” Forbes, a beloved member of the Bowling Green community, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Born to Roy and Eula Cowles Carrier, Nickie was a native of Warren County and a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She identified as a Baptist and dedicated her life to her family and community.
Nickie is survived by her loving husband, Gene Forbes; her daughter, Karen Forbes; her son, Brian Forbes; four grandchildren, Ashley Forbes Barcley, Misty Forbes, Asher Long, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her two brothers, Harel Carrier (Judy) and Darel Carrier (Donna).
Nickie was preceded in death by her two daughters, Shelia Tyler and Charissa Diane Forbes, as well as her parents, Roy and Eula Cowles Carrier.
The family will hold a graveside service at Boiling Springs Cemetery this Friday at 1 p.m., under the care of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
Nickie’s devotion to her family and community was unwavering, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
