Richard A. Lammert, a loving brother, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 4, 2024, in St. Louis, MO, at the age of 85. Born on April 22, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, Richard was a devoted member of his community and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Richard is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Mildred) Lammert; sister, Yvonne Lammert (née Allscheid); children, Tim Lammert and Beth Luhr (Kevin Steibel); grandchildren, Abigail and Amanda Lammert; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ted A. Lammert; parents, Theodore & Mae A. (née Grubeh) Lammert; and son, Theodore.
A devoted member of the Union Pacific Railroad Local 600, Annbriar Kloepper Club, and SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Richard was a man of faith and community. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and softball in his free time.
Richard’s love for his family was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His funeral service will be held at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, followed by burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the church or a charity of their choice.
Richard’s life was a testament to his devotion to his family and community. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Richard. Your love and dedication will never be forgotten.
