Amelia-Marie (Sissy) Rose Vandervort, a vibrant and loving three-year-old, departed this world on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, to join Jesus in heaven. Born on September 8, 2021, Sissy brought immense joy and love into the lives of everyone around her. Her sparkling eyes and charming smile could light up a room, and her infectious laughter and sassy personality made her a beloved presence in the lives of her family and friends.

Sissy’s love for life was evident in her enthusiasm for every toy, every activity, and every person she met. She never met a stranger and was always eager to play, dress up, and explore the world around her. Her favorite pastimes included dressing up with her mother’s cosmetics and spending time outdoors, where she could run free and wild.

Sissy’s family was her rock, and she cherished every moment with her parents, Robert and Stevie Vandervort, her brothers, Rylan Gardner and Ryker Vandervort, and her grandparents, Samuel and Selena Lowe of Sweetwater, and Doug and Carol Hunt of Tellico Plains. Her great-grandmother, Mary Ellen Sewell, and great-grandfather, Ronnie Hayworth, welcomed her into paradise, where she will continue to shine her light.

The funeral service for Sissy will be held at Biereley-Hale Chapel on Tuesday, June 18th, at 8:00 p.m., with Rev. Rick Atkins and Rev. Michael Jenkins presiding. The burial will take place at New Providence Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to visit the Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. to pay their respects and celebrate Sissy’s life.

Sissy’s memory will live on through the countless lives she touched in her short but impactful life. Her family and friends will cherish the memories of her laughter, her smile, and her unwavering joy, and will continue to honor her legacy by living life to the fullest, just as she did.
