Beau Wilder Obituary and Heartbreaking Death Announcement: 18-Year-Old Chase Wilder, Beloved Son of Late Beau Wilder, Meets Untimely Demise in Fatal Car Accident in Lowell, MI, Leaving a Void in Family and Community Already Reeling from Father’s Tragic Passing Earlier This Year

In the quiet town of Lowell, Michigan, the community is once again plunged into mourning as they grapple with the heartbreaking news of another tragedy befalling the Wilder family. On a serene Saturday morning, August 3, 2024, the life of 18-year-old Chase Wilder, a promising young man and cherished member of the community, was tragically cut short in a fatal car accident. The sorrowful news comes just months after the Wilder family endured the devastating loss of Chase’s father, Beau Wilder, who passed away in February from an apparent suicide. This latest blow has left the community in a state of shock and disbelief as they come together to support the Wilder family in their time of profound grief.

On that fateful Saturday morning, at approximately 7 a.m., the Kent County Sheriff’s Office received a distressing call reporting a single-vehicle accident on Flat River Drive near Vergennes Avenue in Vergennes Township. The scene that awaited the responding deputies was a somber one. A 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Chase Wilder, had veered off the road and collided with a tree. The impact of the crash was devastating, and tragically, Chase was pronounced dead at the scene. As news of the accident spread, it sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community, leaving family, friends, and loved ones grappling with the sudden loss of a young life full of promise and potential.

Chase Wilder was more than just a statistic; he was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend, known for his infectious smile and kind heart. Born to Amanda and Beau Wilder, Chase was a shining light in their lives. His father, Beau Wilder, was a well-known figure in the community, having been a respected alumnus of the Lowell wrestling team and remembered for his dedication and passion. Beau’s unexpected passing in February had already cast a shadow over the family, and now, with Chase’s tragic death, the Wilder family finds themselves navigating an unimaginable sea of grief.

Chase was a recent graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 2024, where he had earned a reputation as a dedicated student-athlete. He was not only an outstanding athlete but also a diligent and hardworking young man who excelled in academics and sports alike. As a member of the Lowell wrestling team, Chase had demonstrated the same passion and dedication that had characterized his father’s wrestling career. His coaches and teammates remember him as a natural leader, someone who inspired others with his work ethic and unwavering determination.

The news of Chase’s untimely death has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. Friends and family remember him as a kind and caring soul, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His warmth and compassion endeared him to all who crossed his path, and his absence is deeply felt by everyone whose life he touched. As the community rallies around the Wilder family, they are reminded of the importance of cherishing each moment and holding loved ones close.

Funeral arrangements for Chase Wilder have been made, and the community is invited to come together to honor and remember his life. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Impact Church, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. The burial will take place at Pinckney Cemetery at 3 p.m. In honor of Chase’s memory, Fish & Finn Outfitters and Consignment will be opening late on Thursday at 4 p.m., allowing employees and customers to pay their respects to this remarkable young man.

Chase’s passing comes at a time when the Wilder family was already grappling with the profound loss of Beau Wilder. Beau, who was 39 at the time of his death, was remembered as a devoted husband, father, and son. He was survived by his loving wife, Amanda, and their children, Chase, Sawyer, and Bralynn. Beau’s legacy was one of hard work and selflessness, as he was always known to put others before himself. The community remembers him as a kind and caring individual, just like his son, Chase.

As the Wilder family navigates this difficult journey of grief, they are surrounded by an outpouring of love and support from the community. Friends and neighbors have come together to offer their condolences and share fond memories of Chase and Beau. The strength of the Wilder family, even in the face of such overwhelming loss, is a testament to the bonds of love and resilience that unite them. They are held up by the unwavering support of a community that stands by them in their time of need, reminding us all of the power of compassion and community in times of tragedy.
