Paul Arnold Loftus Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that we share the somber news of the passing of a beloved member of our community, Paul Arnold Loftus, on February 27, 2024. A longtime resident of London, Ontario, Paul was not only a cherished family man but also a pillar of strength for those who knew him.

As we come together in this time of grief, our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, offering them the solace and support they need during this difficult period. Paul Arnold Loftus lived a life marked by love, commitment, and resilience. His journey was one defined by both joyous moments and, inevitably, moments of loss. In facing the challenges life presented, Paul navigated them with a grace that inspired those around him.

In remembering Paul, we reflect on the profound impact he had on the lives of his loved ones. Sadly, he bore the heartache of losing his daughter, Melanie Dawn Loftus, and siblings Patricia Robertson, Ted Loftus, Norma Tinkler, and Irene Loftus, as well as his nephew Eric Hill, all who passed away before him. Paul Loftus stood as the last surviving member of his family, carrying the memories and legacies of those who had gone before him.

Paul leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his surviving children, Melissa Shepherd and her husband Brett, Shannon Loftus and her husband David, Pearl Loftus, and Kimberly Richter and her husband Ray. The torch of his legacy is further carried by his grandchildren, Mason, Myles, Theo, Henry, Justin, Paul, and Garreth. In their laughter, stories, and shared moments, Paul’s spirit lives on.

A poignant event for the purpose of interment has been scheduled for Friday, March 8th, 2024, at 1:30 PM at the Woodland Cemetery, located at 493 Springbank Drive, London, Ontario N6J1H3. Following this, a memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM at the Westview Funeral Chapel, situated at 709 Wonderland Road, London, Ontario N6H. The date and time of the service are currently being determined, and we invite all those who knew and loved Paul to join in commemorating his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests giving memorial contributions to the New St. James Presbyterian Church in Paul’s honor. This gesture is not only a meaningful way to express condolences but also a tribute to Paul’s enduring connection to his faith and community. For those wishing to convey the specifics of their contribution, a form is provided below, allowing family and friends to appreciate the shared commitment to honoring Paul’s memory.

Paul Arnold Loftus’s legacy is one of family, love, and community. As we navigate the waters of grief, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on each of us.
