Sam, born to Grace Beckett and Brandon Davis, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate to know and love them.
Early Years and Education
Born on May 7, 1999, Sam L. Beckett grew up in Union Bridge, surrounded by the love of parents Grace Beckett and Brandon Davis. A graduate of Francis Scott Key High School in the class of 2017, Sam furthered their education at Lincoln Tech, earning a degree in EEST in 2020. During this time, Sam also immersed themselves in the workforce, contributing to the local community through employment at 7-11 and Originals Pizza.
A Vibrant Soul: Light, Laughter, and Love
Sam’s vibrant spirit was evident in their love for music, marking them as a true aficionado. Always a people person, Sam made time for conversations, shared jokes, and extended a helping hand to both humans and animals alike. Their light had a magnetic quality, drawing people in and creating lasting connections. Sam’s interests included a passion for sharks, a love for tattoos, a fascination with Legos, a penchant for coloring, and a deep appreciation for anime. Notably, Sam was an avid collector of shoes, a hobby that reflected their unique and eclectic tastes.

Sam’s love extended to their family, which included siblings Calyn, Riley, Lilyanna, and Alayna Davis. As an uncle to nephew Aston Gavin, Sam embraced the joys of family life. Grandmothers Sue “Nana” Davis and Nora Kane with husband Tom were also important figures in Sam’s life. The loss of sister Angel Davis, Maw Maw, Paw Paw, Poppy, and other cherished loved ones had undoubtedly left a void in Sam’s heart.

A visitation to honor and celebrate Sam’s life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Hartzler Funeral Home, located at 6 E. Broadway St., Union Bridge. The community is invited to pay their respects and share memories during the visitation, which will take place from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
