Anastasia Ledwith, a 57-year-old professional DJ Stacey, was discovered dead early on Saturday morning outside her house on West 76th Street, according to reports.
According to Valerie Perez, Ledwith’s wife, during their 15 years of marriage, her husband enjoyed riding a scooter and being a DJ. Perez remarked of her, “She was really good at it.”
About 2:40 a.m., when Ledwith was riding her scooter on that roadway and happened to cross paths with a Mack tractor truck close to Central Park West, NYPD officials believe she did so.
According to reports, she attempted to pass the oil delivery truck when her scooter collided with its side, causing her to fall beneath the tires of the vehicle.
According to the complaint, the 50-year-old driver of the truck was unaware that he had struck anything until he turned onto Central Park West, even though the scooter was lodged beneath his vehicle and ejecting sparks.
When he arrived, medical personnel declared Ledwith dead, according to the authorities.
Authorities stated that there have been no arrests and that an investigation is still ongoing.
