Samantha Hutchinson Obituary News: New Bride Killed in a Fatal Crash by a Drunk Driver on her Wedding Night, Suspect Arrested
According to audio recently obtained by the New York Post, Jamie Lee Komoroski, the woman accused of driving under the influence on the night of her wedding and killing new bride Samantha Hutchinson, looks to expect to soon be living her “best life” again, even though she could face a 25-year prison sentence.
After being refused bail earlier, Komoroski, 25, was freed on a $150,000 bond last Friday, March 1. She spoke with her sister Kelsi on October 8 during a call from the jailhouse.
Komoroski remarked, “It’s hilarious because you get so angry and upset when you’re in a bad situation.” However, you wish you could have told yourself at the time, “Stop worrying, stop crying, everything will work out,” when you see your future self gazing back at that moment. You now feel content. Furthermore, it is pointless to be so angry. Everything is going to be alright.
No matter how awful things seem at the time. It will come together, she continued.
Komoroski is accused of hitting Samantha and her new husband, Aric Hutchinson, in a golf cart with a rented Toyota Camry while three times over the legal blood alcohol limit. She also faces one count of reckless homicide. The three charges of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death are related to the crash. According to police, Komoroski smelled like alcohol and was traveling at a pace of around 40 mph over the 25 mph speed limit when the collision occurred, but he declined a field sobriety test.
Aric Hutchinson, who suffered severe injuries and was admitted to the hospital, sued Komoroski and the bars for allegedly overserving her before the collision. The 25-year-old woman was alleged to have been denied access to a phone, had bloodshot eyes, smelled strongly of alcohol, and had struck her head on a nurse’s desk when she was detained on April 28.
When friends and relatives visited Komoroski in the days after her arrest, she expressed concern that people would perceive her as a negative person due to the incident and that she had given her boyfriend permission to leave her. And as she waited for her trial, other prisoners would be released on bail, she said.
According to the Post and Courier, Komoroski warned friends not to be “stupid like I was because all it takes is one time” and said, “There have been people that have, like, killed people on purpose before and, like, they’ve gotten out on a bond.”
In connection with the collision, Komoroski is still behind bars.
According to the Post and Courier, Komoroski stated, “I didn’t mean for it to happen.” “I feel like a bad person because I didn’t intend for any of that to happen.”
Additionally, Komoroski expressed to her parents her desire that the judge would understand “how regretful and remorseful I am, and that I’m not a bad person and that I’ll never do anything bad again.” Her father then warned her not to discuss the collision with anybody as her talks were being recorded.
He retorted, “Listen, stop talking about it,” to her statement, “But I wanted to make sure that I could say an apology and they said I would be able to say an apology.” He later predicted she would spend less than 15 years in prison but cautioned, “you’re going to have to do time ”
