On March 7, officials were sent to Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in response to allegations of a gunshot incident. The victim of the shooting was identified as JBLM deceased. The military installation was instantly put under lockdown since it was first believed that there was a problem with an active shooter.
JBLM Law Enforcement had reacted to many complaints of shooting earlier in the afternoon, according to the original reports that were received. However, upon arriving, it was revealed that the event had only involved a single person who had unfortunately passed away by taking their own life.
The individual who committed suicide has been named as the person who has been verified to have died as a result of the incident. Identification of the Victim: As of the time that this report was written, the identity of the person who had passed away had not been made public knowledge.
