Timothy Johnson Obituary, Death – Johnson Timothy, Detroit, MI, died on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the age of 67. There has been cremation. There will be a memorial service at a later time. In honour of Timothy, memorial donations to the Old Newsboys of Flint are welcome in place of flowers. On November 1, 1956, Timothy, the late Carthul and Verda Taylor Johnson’s son, was born in Flint, Michigan.
On September 2, 1983, he wed Brenda Zarnick, and the two of them created a life full of love, joyous occasions spent together, and innumerable priceless memories. Timothy spent a large portion of his life with General Motors, where he laboured hard until retiring in 2004. Timothy loved spending time with his friends and family. It was one of his biggest life pleasures.
Whether it was at get-togethers, parties, or just spending time with loved ones, he treasured any chance to forge enduring bonds with them. Timothy will always be cherished for his loving nature, generous heart, and affection for everyone in his vicinity.
The affection he shared with his family and the memories he left behind are what carry on his legacy. Along with his wife Brenda Johnson, son Randy Sheila Johnson, two daughters, Sara Johnson and Keri Logan Christian, grandchildren, sister Debbie, and numerous more devoted family members and close friends, Timothy is survived by these people.
Although Tim remained silent about it, he was a proud US Army veteran. During Vietnam, he served in Army Intelligence and was drafted. Tim served with honour for 27 years as a member of the Richfield Police Department before retiring in 2000.
Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending his summers at their “little house,” Bowen’s Lodge on Lake Winnibigoshish, with friends, fishing, and golfing. They stayed at their Panama City Beach, Florida, condo rental for the winter. Tim had a great time there, spending many hours on the golf course, strolling the beach, and getting to know their condo family.
Although he was a wonderful father and a loving husband, his favourite moniker was “Grandpa Tim.” Being there and involved in his grandchildren’s lives brought him the most happiness. Every day, you could find ‘Grandpa Tim’ at a football pitch, snowboard hill or hockey rink because he would be there to support them.
