Death of Dash Barton: On March 6, at the age of 13, Dash Barton of Hoover, Alabama, departed from this life. Dash was a lively and beloved student at Bumpus Middle School, where his contagious energy and kind demeanor made a lasting impression on many people.
Recalling Dash: A brilliant young guy with a love of adventure and life, Dash was full of surprises. His diverse range of interests was a reflection of his love of the great outdoors and his spirit of adventure. Dash was happiest when he was hunting, fishing, or in the woods, where he really felt at home.
As a passionate aviation fan, Dash dreamed of joining the US Air Force and becoming a pilot to serve his nation. His passion for Hoover High School Baseball, where he was often seen rooting for his preferred team from the stands, rivaled his love of aviation.
Community Involvement: Dash was very active in his neighborhood and often gave of his time and talents to help others. He devoted his last duty to driving veterans from the parking lot to the field for the Veterans Appreciation baseball game, demonstrating his altruism and compassion.
Apart from his voluntary work in the community, Dash was well-known for his endearing nature and capacity to make people smile. Dash was a constant source of happiness and amusement, whether he was playing on the playgrounds, raiding food packs, or loitering in the dugouts during baseball games.
Celebration of Life: Friends and loved ones are cordially invited to join Dash Barton’s family in honoring his life. Friday, March 15, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm is the time for visitation at Hunter Street Baptist Church, which is situated at 2600 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, AL 35244.
There will be a memorial ceremony for Dash at the church at 1:30 p.m. Dash’s life will continue to be celebrated at the Green Trails clubhouse at Lake Wilborn after the funeral. Here, friends and family may come together to share memories and provide support to one another during this trying time.
