Suicide-murder Miami: After shooting and murdering his wife and two teenage daughters at their northwest Miami-Dade County apartment, the father reportedly turned the pistol on himself, according to the police.
The Miami-Dade Police Department received a complaint about the Royalton on the Green Apartments, which are situated at 17400 Northwest 68th Avenue.
The caller asked that the family that lived in the unit have their welfare checked. Officers said that they smelled something foul coming from the apartment when they got on the scene on Sunday night.
When they got inside the apartment, they found four people who had been shot and were ailing. The authorities claim that the man shot his wife, daughter, and son before turning the pistol on himself.
Although the attackers’ names have not been released by the police, the mother’s brother has named the gunman as fifty-year-old Yumara Martinez and sixty-year-old Victor Penalba. He specifically mentioned the ages of their children, Jason, who is eighteen, and Stephanie, who is thirteen. Juan Martinez claims that after many days without hearing from him, his nephew’s pals called the police.
He said that his nephew had sent a cryptic message around two weeks ago. Even though Martinez’s family knew that Penalba and his sister had split up, there was always hope that they might reconcile. He said no one had ever expected that he was capable of achieving that, even if his family did not approve of it. The precise time of the murders and the length of time the corpses were in the apartment before anybody found them are unknown.
