Chris Carlton Obituary, Death – On March 11, 2024, Christopher W. Carlton, who was 49 years old at the time of his untimely death, was involved in an accident while at work doing something he enjoyed. The 19th of September, 1974 found him being born in Glens Falls.
His parents, Wayne and Joanna (Burnham) Carlton, were his parents. After completing the eighth grade at St. Mary’s Academy, he went on to graduate from Queensbury High School with the class of 1992 (Class of 1992). Chris went on to further his education by attending Adirondack Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice and police science.
In Cadyville, New York, on September 11, 1999, Chris tied the knot with Kathleen Sears, the woman he had loved his entire life. During his 22 years of service at the Washington Correction Facility, Chris held the rank of sergeant in the correctional department. Additionally, for a period of six years, he was a co-owner of Hartman Hill Premium Firewood.
He was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed numerous activities, including hunting, his hunting camp in Ohio, his dogs, and watching his daughter compete in sports. However, his greatest interest was running his own business, which consisted of producing firewood. Chris’s grandparents, Kenneth and Winifred Burnham, as well as Clarence and Viola Carlton, passed away before he was born.
The people who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Kathleen Carlton; his daughter, Ada Nicole Carlton; his parents, Wayne and Joanna Carlton; his sister, Nicole and Allan Vella; his in-laws, Maggie Sears and her partner Gary Breyette, Dale and Tammy Sears; his sister-in-law, Melissa and James Greule; his nieces, Margo Vella and Jillian Greule; his nephews, Thomas and Will Vella; his best friend, Corey Tilley;
his labs, Echo and Clyde; and a number of other relatives and friends. In accordance with the wishes of the family, there will be no visiting hours. When it is most convenient for the family, the funeral services and burial will be held in private.

Chris continued his pursuit of knowledge by enrolling in a higher education program at Adirondack Community College. There, he earned an associate degree in criminal justice and police science during his time there.

A profession that would be dedicated to giving service and protection was established as a result of this educational achievement, which laid the groundwork for the profession.
